Methodology
The platform represents the best available sources of transition analysis. However, the partners are actively working to improve the availability and quality of transition analysis. These are some of the priority issues we are working on:
- Expanding company coverage. Coverage will scale up significantly during 2025.
- Alternative datasets and additional methodological refinements/developments, including for capital allocation. The availability of, and difficulty of identifying science-based sector benchmarks, for capital allocation data has been identified as a key area in user feedback.
- The inclusion of additional sectors. The mining sector will be added soon, buildings and real estate sector, and tech sector will be added soon.
- The capability to connect the transition data with a range of existing frameworks. For example, we are exploring how the analysis can be aligned with the sector guidance issued by IIGCC.
